We’re proud to highlight three-time Avanade Grant recipients Black Girls Do Engineer (BGDE). Their organization provides access to STEM Education to and develops the scientific passion of girls between the ages of 6 and 21, by providing mentoring, STEM challenges and projects, and further guidance.

This great organization exemplifies our mission of Bridging the Digital Divide by teaching Black girls and women important STEM skills and getting them involved in the future of technology, seeing as women only comprise 25% of the STEM workforce, and only 2.5% of those women are Black women. BGDE focuses its efforts on promoting equity within these numbers, while also celebrating and nurturing the girls’ culture and spirit, and setting them up for successful futures. Every opportunity to work with BGDE is truly a privilege, and we look forward to seeing more of their achievements in the future!
