Sixth Wave of Avanade Tech Grants Awarded


InterConnection is proudly partnered with Avanade to award refurbished computers to nonprofits educating youth across the country. With the technological resources provided via the Avanade Tech Grant, recipient organizations can accelerate their social impact to better serve their communities. We are thrilled to announce the latest recipient of the Avanade Tech Grant, who received their new devices this summer.

 

The Mona Bailey Academy is a non-profit educational service organization built on the legacy of its namesake’s illustrious career in public and private education. The Mona Bailey Academy provides FREE quarterly S.T.E.M. camps to 3rd – 5th grade students in the greater Seattle area. Topics covered in S.T.E.M. camps include Virtual and Augmented Reality, Game Design using Scratch, Drone Flying, as well as Applied Math and Science in an effort to:

  • Innovate the delivery of education.
  • Produce and promote educational policies that support low-income and vulnerable populations.
  • Increase access to S.T.E.M. educational programs to kids from all backgrounds.

Their mission is to deliver cutting edge and creative educational programming to help broaden and build the minds of underprivileged or underrepresented elementary age students.
