Vulcan Inc, owned by Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen, helped
InterConnection provide computers to communities in need by
holding a computer collection drive at their downtown Seattle
office. Vulcan employees were encouraged to bring their old
computers, monitors and peripherals to the one day event.
Employees received a tax deductible receipt for their donations
and the satisfaction of knowing their computers will be
refurbished and given a second life.
The event collected nearly 50 desktop computers, 10 laptops, and
33 monitors.
In exchange for holding the event InterConnection donated two
desktop computer sets to Urban League under Vulcan’s name. Urban
League is a non profit that strives to empower and assist people
of color and disadvantaged individuals in becoming
self-sufficient through providing services and developing strong
business and community partnerships.
Vulcan has been an exceptional corporate partner. Not only do
they support InterConnection by holding employee computer
drives, they also donate their surplus computer equipment to
InterConnection on an ongoing basis.
Your company can support InterConnection too by carrying out an
employee computer drive or donating its surplus equipment. For
