InterConnection.org Announces New Electronics Reuse and Recycling Drop Off Site in Bellevue

Bellevue residents and businesses now have a secure, hassle-free location for donating their old electronics. The nonprofit InterConnection.org partnered with Batteries Plus in Bellevue to offer a drop-off location for used desktops, laptops, cell phones and LCD monitors at 14917 NE 20th Street, Bellevue, WA 98007. Computer Reuse Bill Becomes Law

InterConnection recently shipped ten laptops to a Peace Corps volunteer in Namibia. She is using them to teach HIV awareness. She sent an email to InterConnection about her experience.

 

Coffee Producers in Dominican Republic Receive Computers

Peace Corps volunteer David Mayo installed 20 computers from InterConnection in the new Antonio Javier Nivar Computer Center. The center teaches youth and adults how to use a computer, productive computer programs, and the Internet.  

 

Vulcan Inc. Holds Employee Computer Drive

Vulcan Inc, owned by Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen, helped InterConnection provide computers to communities in need by holding a computer collection drive at their downtown Seattle office. The event collected nearly 50 desktop computers, 10 laptops, and 33 monitors. InterConnection donated two desktop computer sets to Urban League under Vulcan's name. More
 

Tonga Receives Shipment of Computers

InterConnection sent a shipment of 210 computers to a Peace Corps volunteer in Tonga, Blake Porter. More than 45% of the computers are being used in secondary schools in computer labs, mostly for Computer Studies classes, and so students can type their projects. More
