The social economic environment in which we live doesn't encourage self reliance efforts and development. As a result, the rate of dependence on the rich and government by the grassroots population of our area is higher than the rural poor's ability to exploit their own economic development efforts. The bridge that linked the government, the rich and rural masses has since gone off with the advent of structural adjustment program. In addition, all industries acquired at dependence from the colonial matters have since wound-up.

Manyu Palm Kernel Industry Self Help Organization was therefore created with the purpose of promoting social relationship, replacing wound-up industries and by pooling resources together and improving well-being which is apparent in circumstances of crime, poverty and violence. This in mind, pushed us to the processing of palmnuts to obtain kernel, kernel oil, and kernel cake which are leading to local soap and animal feed

Abundant and abandoned palmnuts have always been produced by the local population. Nobody has ever taken the risk and shock of seeing it processed and valorizes to the benefit of the local masses and beneficiaries of the project area
