LSA implemented a project
called "Legal Reform and Neighborhood Organizations," which aimed to provide
legal support for the creation and the development of neighborhood-based organizations in
Tbilisi.
LSA implemented a joint project with the NGO, Environmental Law Club, which aimed to
popularize environmental law within the community and neighborhood-based societies by
means of seminars.
LSA published in English and in Georgian a booklet titled "The Aarhus Convention
on Access to Information, Public Participation in Decision-Making and Access to Justice in
Environmental Matters." This booklet contains the text of this important
international Convention, brief analytical comments, and a review of active Georgian
environmental legislation.
LSA published in Georgian "Environmental Legislation of Georgia" (54
normative Acts of the Georgian Parliament in the field of the environment).
From the day of its establishment, the Association has given free legal advice to
environmental NGO's and to community-based organizations.
The members of the Association are working as environmental public advocates in the
courts of the Republic of Georgia, as well as serving as environmental legal experts when
called upon to provide legal advice to government bodies, private citizens, and NGOs.
