About Our Organization

The Legal Society Association (LSA) was established by a group of lawyers dedicated to serving the interests of the public in the Republic of Georgia in 1998 and was registered on the 8th of January, 1999. The aims of the Legal Society Association are as follows:

1) To support legal awareness in Georgian society;

2) To provide legal support to nongovernmental organizations (NGO's);

3) To protect the environment;

4) To support legal reforms in Georgia;

5) To protect human rights.

Basic Areas of Association Activity: Popularization of new Georgian legislation throughout society; Working on drafts; Legal support to community or neighborhood-based organizations and environmental NGO's; Pro bono legal advice to the economically disadvantaged; Legal protection of human rights; Environmental public advocacy.
