HABITAT FOR HUMANITY GAINS NEW AFFILIATE

Habitat for Humanity Belize is expanding its wings to the south of the country.

Since Hurricane Iris in October 2001, the National Office has been concentrating its efforts in establishing a new affiliate.

In September 2001 a Habitat International Partner was assigned to Belize to assist the National Office in its efforts. After hard work and dedication, the new affiliate has been established as the Southern Regional Affiliate; with its head office in San Juan Village in the Stann Creek District.

The affiliate hopes to serve the communities of San Juan, Bella Vista, Trio & Garage. Habitat for Humanity Belize would like to publicly recognize the support and assistance of the Monkey River Estate group of Companies, which have been instrumental in the development of this affiliate. Special thank you goes to former IP Elisa Rivera. In addition, a Big Thank You goes to the affiliate's Board of Directors led by:
