Elisa
joined Habitat for Humanity Belize on September 1, 2001. Elisa first became
acquainted with Habitat for Humanity in 1992 while working as missionary nurse
for the Catholic Church in Perú. While in Perú, Elisa served as a volunteer
member of the local affiliate committee in Camaná district. After three years,
she returned to her home in Monterrey, Mexico where she worked as a nurse with
the Mexican Red Cross. In 1997, Elisa applied for and was accepted as an
International Partner with Habitat for Humanity International. She was assigned
to Colombia, where she served for four years developing affiliates in Bogotá and
in the Cauca district. Elisa’s responsibilities in Habitat for Humanity Belize
are to assist the National Coordinator with establishing new affiliates in the
country. We are blessed to have Elisa as part of the team!
