How to Donate Computers | Data Wiping | What We Take & Fees | Business Donors | Recycle vs. Reuse
Computer Recipients
All hard drives we reuse are immediately pulled from computers and cleaned with our data wipe tool. Hard drives are never booted in computers. Companies that use software to wipe drives must boot drives in a computer, which creates an opportunity for people to see data. Since we don't use software, there is never a chance anyone can see or copy data from hard drives.
We use Blancco software to
provide certified data destruction. It provides detailed
reporting of every erasure performed and ensures compliance
with FISMA, HIPAA, SOX, FACT ACT and GLBA.
This service can only be used on functional, PII or above

can destroy your hard
drive on-site. We remove hard drives from computers and
place them inside a specialized machine and a conical punch
inside the unit delivers a staggering 12,000 pounds of hydraulic
force, causing catastrophic trauma to the hard drive’s chassis
while destroying its internal platter. Our machine is
transportable; we can bring this service to your office.
Cost is $5 if the hard drive is removed or $10 if we have to
remove the drive. Minimum number of drives for on-site data
destruction is 10.
Services include:
• Removal of hard drives on-site.
• Bar code and recording of each hard drive’s serial number.
